I realize I haven't posted Presley's update. I am happy to say she had a short 24 hour hospital stay and actually, pneumonia was never confirmed. The thought is, she just got some cudies from Mikah and Jett and it has turned into a horrible cough and consolidation into her lungs. I have no doubt this is very much what the winter months will be about for us. However, next time I will fight a little harder to keep her out of the hospital. I think her pediatrician, who I adore, was just being very precautious. The trouble with that is, after 7 months in the hospital and 100 IVs, she has horrible veins and getting an IV on her is very difficult. That alone, makes me cringe at the thought of her being admitted. Not to mention my fear of being thrown in jail for slugging a nurse. I come unglued and very angry when these floor nurses attempt an IV on my daughter and then proceed to 'dig' around in her with a needle. I was kind enough to give her nurse on Tuesday a full 2 seconds before telling her to pull out and call a PICU nurse. Who was able to get one immediately and on the first attempt.
So, after 24 hours, and being in agreement with her hospital doctor, that they were doing nothing for her there that could not be done at home, she was discharged and is home doing very well. In fact, through it all she smiles the biggest smiles and is even jabbering and cooing, which is something new in the last week, such a joy to see and hear. Thanks so very much for the thoughts and prayers!
P.S. Mom & Dad, your amazing to Mike, myself and these kiddos of mine. I know you are tired yourself and constantly going, then you come to our home and do more than I could ever repay you for. Cooking, cleaning, doing my laundry, letting me sleep all day, allowing Mike and I go and have a meal alone, playing so hard and loving my children so much... thank you, thank you!
I know you are both worried about me, I can see it ~ but don't...I do know that
'this too shall pass'.

i'm so glad presley is home and doing well. i'm also extremely glad the hospital visit was short. you comment about slugging the nurse cracked me up...wouldn't it be nice if you could. it's amazing how some medical staff can be absolutely worthless. and nothing is more aggrivating than seeing someone poking your child over and over with needles. hope this week goes smoothly and is uneventful :)
Kele,
Glad to hear that Presley is home and doing well. I too hope this week goes smoothly and is uneventful, unless it is for the good. Your message to your parents was lovely, your so lucky to have them. Blessings this week my friend.
Glad to hear that Miss Pres is out and home with you guys. Oh and I remember the IV's so well... and with M's Thyroid, we have to have blood drawn every two months... sometimes I "forget" that we have to do it that often! Big hugs to you guys!
I am glad that she is home safe and sound.
What a blessing for Presley to be home surrounded by the love of her family!
