Thankful & Grateful

My funny friend Steph, as well as others out in blogland, do a "Thankful Sunday" post, I love reading them, as it is nice to read about the lovely and simple things that they feel thankful and grateful for each week.
I have always been taken by the idea of a 'Thankful journal', where you put something in it each night that you are thankful for that day, but seeing as how the resolution to do that has worked out about as well as my other resolutions (I'm still hanging clothes on the treadmill) I think I will implement the Thankful post each week. As much as I love to look over old posts and reminisce, I know that I will be happy that I started a weekly 'Thankful and Grateful' post to look back on as well!

This week I am thankful for Presley's ability to pick up the signs we have been doing with her so quickly. Within a day's time she has been able to copy and repeat the sign that I introduce. I am so proud of her! I am disappointed in myself for being so lazed about doing this consistently before now, thinking it was going to be such a difficult task to tackle! Shame on me for underestimating my little love!
I am very thankful to have reconnected with a few friends lately, my friend Amy and I have found our way back to one another, easily picking up right where we left off. And, one of my oldest and dearest friends from back home, Kim, is flying in town next weekend and I am beyond estactic about the idea of having a whole weekend to laugh and just 'be' in that place for a while, you know the place... the place only the dearest of people in your life can take you.
Lastly,I am so very grateful for some special moments with Mikah... one being the other day as her and I were joking around in my bed, we started laughing at something we did... it was laughter that was uncontrollable, the kind where your eyes are watering and you can't stop no matter how hard you try... the best kind. There were a few seconds following where I was able to acknowledge the beauty of what had just occurred.
There is so much beauty in this humble little life of mine... and I am thankful and grateful for it all!

OK, after clicking on my name to make sure I was the Steph you were talking about, to avoid making an *ss out of myself and saying thanks for something that was not intended to be for me,I then realized I didn't post my thankful Sunday today!! YIKES!
So now anyone who went to see this gal Steph and her Thankful posts that inspired you to start yours , well they didn't see one. So I guess I'd better post something!

And thanks friend!! Glad to come and read your thankfuls. You started off great!

I am thankful to have found such a lovely friend as you. And in blogland, no less! Lots of love (and more mother/daughter belly laughs!) to you and your sweet family.

I have done a "thankful" post or two but haven't been able to be consistent. But I LOVE reading everyone else's so I look forward to you keeping up with it. I always enjoy reading Stephanie's as well. I am thankful for both of you being my blog friends and even more thankful that I have actually gotten to meet you and Presley in person!!!

When I started my blog in Jan. of last year, I was determined that every Sunday I would post a Thankful Sunday post. It's made a huge difference in how I blog and how I look at my week. There have been times when I've had a struggle to come up with things to be thankful for because it's been a bad week, yet ALWAYS something comes to mind.

I'm thankful to see your thankful list. I came from Stephanie's blog.

What a lovely thankful post...yes so often the days and weeks go by and so many things make us smile or happy but we forget them so fast, this thankful post is really a wonderful thing, makes us consciously think back on all the joys that creep into our lives regularly but which we actually take for granted. I too really enjoy Stephanies, now I have yours to look forward to as well! I so need to do one, if for nothing else but to look back on later and feel good about so much thats happened in my life.
