Sweet sleeping boy...

I would give anything for someone to make me take a nap every day and I would LOVE to be told I need to be in bed at 8:30 every night. For some reason, Mikah or Jett do not share this sentiment, as 'nite nite' time, whether it be nap time or bed time, tends to be some of the more unpleasant times in our house. Even when they are exhausted, they fight it...as Jett did a few nights ago when I put him to bed. He came to the gate at his door as soon as I put him in his bed and cried. As I walked into the den, I told Mike that I was sure his crying wouldn't last even 2 minutes. I was wrong, it only lasted 30 seconds...
When we went to check on him before going to bed our self, this is what we found, the poor baby just collapsed of exhaustion and didn't even make it back to his bed as he usually does.

I don't understand why kids don't want to nap either!!! I remember as a child I didn't understand why my mother took a nap on Sunday afternoon(the only time I ever saw this)...but NOW I know! The picture was too cute.

That picture is too cute. And the previous ones with the makeup are hysterical. I gave one of my nieces a makeup kit for Christmas...oops. :)

So cute!!

Were it my daughter, I probably would've stood there for a bit, debating whether it would be terrible parenting to let her stay there compared with the risk of waking her while moving her to her bed and having to restart the whole sleep-fighting bedtime process. And there's a really good chance Sophie would have stayed there and Mommy would have called it "camping." :)
