This week I can't help but feel so very thankful for old and dear friends, having just dropped one of my BFF's of 28 years, Kim, off at the airport a few hours ago. I loved spending time with her in that comfortable silly way you do with your oldest and bestest friends. I loved shopping with her, knowing that when I asked her how a pair of jeans made my butt look, that I was going to get an honest answer!! Sooooo much different than shopping with hubsy, he doesn't even look before saying "Perfect Honey!" (Hell, he's no dummy, but sometimes you do want to know the truth!!) We spent hours looking at old high school pals on facebook, gasping at the changes and laughing at the memories! It was all great fun and it makes me a little sad and ache a bit for 'home'.
"I am so thankful and grateful you were here Kim! I love you!!"
I am also thankful for noticing this week, just how precious saying Grace in our home is, it goes a little something like this:
Mikah:"God, thank you for this food and for my family and for fruit loops, Amen"
Jett:"Thank you for this food, The End"
"Fruit loops" and "The End", seriously, just how precious is that?!?! I am definitely thankful for those little moments.
