Presley was extubated...

Yes, our little angel was extubated Saturday, at 2:00 in the afternoon. I didn't post about it that day because she struggled a bit afterward. I couldn't get over how hard she was pulling for each breath. However, a little over 24 hours later, as I sit at her bedside, while she naps, I am happy to report she is doing better. She still has some lung complications but we are slowly working through them.
I was hoping she would be home by weeks end but I need to accept, it may be a bit longer. Ugh, it is getting so hard. My friend Heather and I just discussed this this morning. You would think I would be so happy because the end of this ordeal is almost here, but it seems like I have never been more anxious and more tired, than I am right now. And this morning, Mikah climbed in bed with me and the first thing she said was "Mommy, don't go bye bye today" My heart broke! And followed by the heart breaking... Mommy went bye bye!
I held Presley for the first time today in over 2 weeks. It was wonderful! However, I spent most of the time just praying over her. Praying that God would let her get better and come home!
Not much else, I am drained and exhausted and heading home to watch a movie with my sweet Mikah and kiss all over my Jett!
